Dear Hanby Families,
Welcome to Fall! This is a fun time of year! Pumpkins, leaves, hayrides, and cooler weather are all on the horizon! Before we know it we will be transitioning to Winter with snow, winter wear, and drops in the temperature!
As the weather continues to be unpredictable, please remember that students will have outdoor recess any time it is 20 degrees or higher. It is very important that students dress appropriately for the weather! Warm coats, hats, and gloves are a must during these cold times! At times it can be difficult to gauge the weather from the morning to the afternoon. As you know your child could leave without a jacket in the morning but need it in the afternoon. It is a good idea to have your child keep cold weather items in their bookbags so they are readily available as needed! Please also make sure to label these items-even the older students misplace things and we want items to get back to their rightful owner!
As we begin the month of November, it's hard to believe that we have already completed Grading Period One! While students have covered a lot of information and participated in many activities over the past few months, there is still a lot more to do and explore during the upcoming semester! Don't forget to continue checking the weekly email from the office (Hanby Happenings) as well as your child's Friday Folder.
In closing it was great to see everyone who came out and attended Parent Teacher Conferences in October. Please remember that it is important that you continue to partner with your child's teacher in your child's education. It is true that Together Everyone Achieves More!
Thank you so much for teaming up with Hanby!
