Winter Weather Information
Winter weather is just around the corner and with it comes the possibility of snow days. I would like to remind you to sign-up for e-communications which will notify you of school closings as well as other district announcements. You can sign-up on by visiting the home page of our website and clicking on "Calamity Day Information". When inclement weather threatens and it is necessary to close or delay school for the safety of the students announcements will also be broadcast by local TV and radio stations. Should it be necessary to dismiss students early due to weather or road conditions, your child will be dismissed the usual way unless you notify us otherwise For this reason, please keep the information in the Parent Portal updated. Be sure your child is dressed for cold weather. Students will be outside for recess unless it is raining, storming, snowing heavily or the temperature is below 20 degrees including the wind chill factor.
CAR DROP-OFF & PICK-UP—Cars may not park in the area marked for buses on Hiawatha Avenue in front of the Building. Pick-up and drop-off students in the parking lot at the orange traffic cone marked “student pick-up area”. Be sure to follow the painted arrows. A Longfellow Rocket Pick-Up card should be displayed on the dash of the car with the students first and last name clearly printed.
If you bring your child to school late and staff members are no longer on arrival duty, you will need to report to the office to sign your child into school for the day.

PowerSchool Parent Portal
Returning Students: Parents and guardians of returning students already should have created a PowerSchool Parent Portal account to access student information. Please contact your school office if you have forgotten your login information.
New Students: For families of students who are new to our district, you will receive a letter with information on how to create an account. Please contact the school office with any questions about your Parent Portal account!
Student Medical and Consent Forms
Families can now complete or update their students’ Emergency Medical Information and Parental Consent Forms online! Simply log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal for each student and click the “Forms” icon to the left. Please complete all forms prior to Back to School Days.
2016-17 KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL FEES - $18.50 for Kindergarten students
Families may pay their grade-level fees by cash or check (made payable to WBOE) any time prior to October 1, 2016. Fees also may be paid online by credit card. Simply go to www.wcsoh.org and click on EZPay under the Resources section.
