Summer 2022 7th Grade Boys Basketball Open Gym Information
Attention incoming 7th grade basketball players. Genoa MS will hold an instructional open gym on Wednesday June 29th from 6:30pm-7:30pm (UPDATE: THE OPEN GYM ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 15 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO GYM FLOOR REFINISHING). This is an opportunity to meet Coach Doug Taylor and to get an understanding of what is expected when playing Genoa 7th grade basketball. Participation is encouraged however this is voluntary event and is not a requirement to try out for the basketball team. Any questions should be forwarded to Coach Taylor at RDTaylor1010@yahoo.com

Fall 2022 GMS Golf Information
All students, Boys and Girls, interested in playing middle school golf for Genoa MS are invited to attend an informational meeting on Thursday May 19th at 7:00 PM in Room 101/103. General information will be provided including a draft schedule of matches. Tryouts will be held at Royal American on August 1st and 2nd. If interested players and their parents are unable to attend they can contact Jack Hoogeveen: jhoogie27@gmail.com

OHSAA Required Pre-Season Meeting
Prior to athletic participation each season, the OHSAA requires parents to attend a rules meeting held by the athletic department. This meeting is available in video format below. After watching the video, please complete the acknowledgement form.

Genoa Middle School Athletic Department Tryout/Participation Requirements
In accordance with OHSAA, all athletes competing in or trying out for a sport MUST have a current, updated physical and have registered and completed all required forms in Final Forms. No exceptions can be made to this rule, if anything is missing or incomplete, athletes may NOT participate until it's complete.
Remember to participate in tryouts/practice you must....
1. Have an updated Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (this link provides the physical, concussion and Lindsey's law copies) on file with the school, which is good for 13 months. Please turn in your completed form (with doctor's signature) to your coach.
2. Register and complete all forms in FinalForms (see additional information above)
3. Before the first game/competition, the Westerville City Schools Pay-to-Participate fee must be paid.
