The Westerville City School District (WCSD) Board of Education on Monday approved the resignation of Superintendent Dr. John R. Kellogg, who has accepted a new Superintendent in Residence position that will work jointly with Columbus State Community College (CSCC) and the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO).

Five Westerville seniors named finalists for the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program National Merit Finalist 2022-23

Five Westerville seniors are finalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program, according to a recent announcement by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

They include:

  • Rohan S. Mawalkar and Isabella L. Williams at Westerville Central 

  • Caroline D. Kauh at Westerville North

  • Peter R. Stoycos and David W. Stuckey at Westerville South 

WCHS junior is state champion, state runner-up in two events at OHSAA State Swimming Championship WCHS Chase Swearingen

Westerville Central High School junior Chase Swearingen is a state champion in the 200 yard Individual Medley and a state runner-up in the 100 yard Butterfly after competing at the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s State Swimming and Diving Championship Meet on Feb. 21 to 25 at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton.
