Westerville families can enjoy hands-on educational activities with WOSU Classroom, make their own astronaut helmet out of household materials, create and launch a jumping cup rocket, watch PBS KIDS shows and discover books in the program’s Book Nook. Families will also be able to meet Jet Propulsion from Ready Jet Go! on PBS KIDS.

The host of activities are part of Second Saturday Kids Day 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at WOSU Public Media, 1800 N Pearl Street.

Second Saturday Kids Days are free events that take place in the Ross Community Studio at the WOSU headquarters. At each Second Saturday event, there’s a new theme to explore that combines imagination, interaction and technology to explore art, science, math and reading. Children will experience learning through characters they already know and love.
