The Many Voices: Diverse Classroom Book Project, which helped Westerville City Schools teachers build their classroom libraries with books that reflected the voices of student identities in their classrooms, is hosting a virtual educator workshop with Dr. Arianna Howard at 4 p.m. on Sept. 28.
Howard, a cultural diversity expert who led empowerment workshops for Black female students at Westerville Central and Westerville South high schools, will work with educators on using the books in their classrooms to facilitate meaningful and relevant conversations with their students.
The training is open to all Westerville City School educators and staff. Register here. Those who register for the workshop will receive an email for the Zoom link one week before the workshop.
The Many Voices Project is a partnership of Westerville Partners for Education, Westerville Education Foundation, Westerville Public Library and Westerville Educators.
