Summer School Program

Thank you for considering Westerville City Schools' Summer School program for your child's educational needs. Westerville Summer School is offered to Westerville students, as well as students from other districts.

 

All Summer School Registration is online only.

High School Registration Opens: Monday, April 4, 2022

  • Registration forms found on the PowerSchool ParentPortal.
    • Click on Forms and complete the Summer School - High School Credit form.   

Out-of-District Students ONLY

  • Register via the Google form found under Links (Open 4/4/22)


Grades K-8 Registration Opens (to those recommended) Monday, April 4, 2022.

  • Recommendation letters were mailed home to students recommended April 1, 2022.

Summer Intervention 2022 (For students currently in grades K-8)

Grades K-5

Summer Intervention  courses are offered to students currently in grades K-5 based on reviewing student's iReady reading and math diagnostics results, children are recommended to attend the Summer Intervention 2022 reading and math classes. Transportation (in-district), breakfast and lunch provided.

  • Dates: June 6 -- July 1 (No school June 20)
  • Times:  8:30 a.m. -- 12:30 p.m.
  • Location:  Fouse Elementary, 5800 South Old 3C Highway, Westerville, 43082
  • Deadline to Register for Summer Intervention:  Registration has remained open as of 5/26/22.  REGISTRATION CLOSED 6/1/22 @ 4:30PM

Grades 6-8

Students are recommended by their school Principal, Counselor, or Teacher and based on iReady reading and math.  Transportation (in-district), breakfast and lunch provided.

The Westerville high school Summer School program continues to offer full Carnegie unit learning opportunities that our customers tell us they want and need - at a competitive price. We are a financially self-supporting operation within the Westerville City Schools' budget.

Summer School 2022 for High School Courses

Grades 9-12

Westerville students can register for credit recovery courses.  Westerville and out-of-district students can register for course advancement courses. Course prices listed under Documents on Summer School Overview.  Transportation for current Westerville students provided.

  • Times:  7:30 a.m. -- 11:30 a.m.
  • OST Testing:  July 7-8, 2022

Summer Theatre Program

  • Audition Registration:  April 1, follow @wcs_theatre on Instrgram or the Summer School announcements.
  • Cast, Crew, Orchestra Registration:  May 1 -- May 15
  • Auditions:  May 20 & May 22
  • Rehearsals:  June 1 -- July 2
  • Dress Rehearsals:  July 8 -- July 13
  • Performances:  July 14 -- July 17

Students currently enrolled in grades 7-12 in the Westerville City School district are afforded the opportunity to create an ALL-Westerville High School and Middle School production.  While the exact times and dates of rehearsals are TBD, we will meet in the later afternoon and evening, more than in the morning.

Summer Ignite Program

Offering interest-based, not-for-credit engaging course options for WCS students entering grades 1-12.
