At its Regular Meeting on October 12, 2009, the Westerville City School district adopted a calendar for the 2011-2012 school year. Classes will begin on August 17, 2011, and end on May 24, 2012.

The Westerville City School District’s Calendar Committee worked diligently over the past year to develop a school calendar that began the school year earlier, ended the school year prior to Memorial Day, and addressed academic considerations such as ending the first semester prior to winter break. It was evident from community feedback gathered over recent months that people support and approve of the changes. Delaying its implementation for one year affords families adequate time to make the appropriate adjustments to their personal schedules.
