Vivian Phan, a fourth grade student at Fouse Elementary School, is going to be a published artist. She was chosen as a Finalist in the cover contest for the Ohio Schools magazine, sponsored by the Ohio Education Association (OEA). While she was not chosen as the Grand Prize winner, she was one of only three students picked out of 500 as a winner in the Kindergarten-4th grade category. She will have her design printed in the June issue of Ohio Schools and she won a $25 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. This was the 14th year that OEA has sponsored this contest. The theme was, “What I Like Best about My School.”

Pham’s art teacher is Gena Moore.
