The Westerville City School District Board of Education soon will be asked to approve the employment of Ms. Carrie Reis as Genoa Middle School’s next principal. Ms. Reis has 16 years of experience in education, all of which have been spent in the central Ohio area. She began her career as a teacher in the Reynoldsburg City School District. Ms. Reis is not new to the Westerville City Schools as at one point during her career she served as an Assistant Principal at Westerville North High School. She returned to Westerville City Schools in 2011 as an Assistant Principal at Westerville Central High School, following several years as the Assistant Principal at Olentangy Liberty High School. Ms. Reis holds two Associate’s Degrees from Columbus State Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Ohio Dominican, a Master of Art Degree in Teaching from Marygrove College, and is licensed in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University.

“There will be an opportunity for families to meet Ms. Reis prior to the start of the school year, so they should be certain to watch for further information,” said Scott Reeves Executive Director Secondary Academic Affairs. “Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Ms. Reis to Genoa Middle School!”
