Happy Holidays Hanby Families!
Winter break is upon us! This month is surely one of the most exciting months of the year for our children! It is the holiday season and this is a fitting time for all of us to teach our students to be thankful and show them the value of generosity and kindness!
Your children have been working very hard so it is time for much needed rest and time with family! While relaxation is important, we still need to continue nurturing and sharpening their brains in order to be ready when they come back to school after the holiday! A practical and fast way to do this is to encourage your children to practice writing “Thank-you” notes to their family members and friends for any gifts they receive. Another idea is to let your child keep a journal and have them write what they are grateful for each day. You could also plan to visit the library, COSI, or the Columbus Art Museum as a way to keep them thinking! Also consider allowing your child to help you cook and prepare those favorite holiday dishes! Measuring out ingredients while cooking not only improves Math skills, but is also a good time for family bonding!
In closing, please know that the entire Hanby Staff appreciates and thanks you for your continued support in all our endeavors to ensure your child’s academic success!
May the warmth and love of the season fill your hearts and home! Wishing you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
