It is official. We are officially in Spring. It may seem hard to believe with our colder than normal Spring Break, but we should soon see flowers blooming as the weather warms up. With the end of the school year looming it is important that we keep our children focused in the classroom. Our students in grades 3-5 will soon be taking the OAA’s and we want all of our children to finish the year strong.
At this time of year it is fun to look back at some of the fun activities that we have participated in throughout the year. For example, our partnership with Otterbein University which hosted our Science Night and our Health and Fitness Night, the Father/Daughter Dance, Renaissance celebrations, Read Around Annehurst and our upcoming annual Continental Breakfast. These are just a few of our fun events that have been going on along with our rigorous curriculum and assessments.
I am looking forward to a great month of April and watching our students treat our OAA assessments as their opportunity to show off their academic growth. Our new bulletin board theme, “Never Stop Growing”. It is sound advice for all of us. We should always continue to grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. Please continue to support your child’s effort in school and remember that we all can help our students by encouraging them to take academic risks.
