During this time of giving, the Westerville Education Foundation is starting a new project where community and family members are able to adopt classrooms. Please check out the WEF web page at http://www.westervilleeducationfoundation.com/, and share the link with contacts that you may know who are interested in supporting our schools. Our 5th graders need individuals and businesses to support their trip to Biztown in the spring. Please contact the office and Mr. Heck will provide information and ways to help sponsor our 5th graders.
Our Cherrington Winterfest is Saturday, November 21, from 9am to 2pm. Come for the vendors and crafters, free kids activities, raffle, silent auction and gift shop for kids. This great community event is open to the public so please invite friends and family to come join in the fun!
Cherrington is in need of lunch and recess aides to work Monday- Friday from 11:30-1:30. Please contact the office at 614-797-7050 if you are interested in working with kindergarten through fifth grade students.
December 18, 2015 is our Winter Party at school for grades k-5. Cherrington is in the process of working with the local high schools to set up a performance. We will keep our room parents informed as things are confirmed for times and needs for our winter celebration.
Finally, I encourage families to take advantage of the many technology programs that we integrate into learning at school. Lexia, Dreambox, and Tenmarks, are just a few of the programs that can be used at home to support learning over the holiday breaks. Please contact your teacher if you need more information and then join us at the PTA meeting January 7, at 7pm to learn about more technology opportunities.4/17/2014
