    9:30 a.m. - A portion of Westerville North HS is without power. However, the school day is continuing as planned, including lunch service. Crews from the school district, City of Westerville, and other utility services are on site to review the situation and make any needed repairs. Any interior classrooms in the portion of the building without power will be relocated to areas with light. Members of our district's Academic Affairs team have been sent to the school to support instruction. We will keep families informed of any important developments.

Summer Academy 2023

Grades K-8:  June 5 - June 30, 2023 (No school June 19)

(Location: Grades K-5: Alcott Elementary and Grades 6-8: Westerville Central High School )

Grades 9-12:  June 5 - July 18, 2023 (No school June 19 & July 4) (Location: Westerville Central High School)

Summer Academy 2023 (For students currently in grades K-8)

Grades K-8 Registration Opens (to those recommended) late March/April 2023.

  • Recommendation letters were mailed home to students recommended TBD.

Grades K-5

Summer Academy courses are offered to students currently in grades K-5 based on reviewing student's iReady reading and math diagnostics results, children are recommended to attend the Summer Academy Program 2023 reading and math classes. Transportation (in-district), breakfast and lunch provided.

The Westerville high school Summer Academy program continues to offer full Carnegie unit learning opportunities that our customers tell us they want and need - at a competitive price. We are a financially self-supporting operation within the Westerville City Schools' budget.

Grades 9-12

Westerville students can register for credit recovery courses.  Westerville and out-of-district students can register for course advancement courses. Course prices listed under Documents on Summer Academy Overview.  Transportation for current Westerville students provided.

Summer Theatre Program - BARNUM, the musical

Students currently enrolled in grades 7-12 in the Westerville City School district are afforded the opportunity to create an ALL-Westerville High School and Middle School production.  While the exact times and dates of rehearsals are TBD, we will meet in the later afternoon and evening, more than in the morning.
