COVID Protocols 2022-23 School Year

Contact your medical provider for any medical concerns and medical advice. In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.


Day 0

Date of a positive test (if there are NO symptoms) OR first day of symptoms

- Fever (100.4 or higher)

- New/worsened cough

- Shortness of breath

- Loss of taste/smell

- Sore throat

- Vomiting

- New onset of severe headache

Day 1-5

- Stay home 5 days
- Wear a mask around others
- Monitor Symptoms

Day 6-10

Return to school / work IF

Symptoms have improved AND
Fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of medication

Recommend wearing mask thru day 10

Will we receive classroom / building  letters or notifications?

At this time, districts are no longer required to contact trace or provide notification.

What if a household member tests positive?

You may continue to attend school or work with no symptoms. You will need to continue to monitor yourself for symptom development and wearing a mask is recommended.

Is a negative COVID test required to return to school or work?

A negative COVID test is not required at this time.

Are we required to wear masks?

Those who wish to wear a mask may do so but WCSD is not requiring masks at this time.
